Ah, awesome! I decided to not do Monomi after all ~too lazyyyy~ and instead do Chihiro <3
As for the wand, me and my friend also had some difficulties in figuring out how to do it.. But, luckily, we attended a small convention where they gave us some advise.
> Do you know those plastic, princess wands for little children? They are normally very cheap and are sold everywhere... Well, their smooth handle is perfect to do this wand~. If you can get your hand in those, great! If it has like a little ornament on the tip, you can always cut it off.
> Make sure that the wand is long enough.. You don't want a petit one, big ones are cool because you can always cut it to the size you like~
> The thing we had problems with was making the gem.. But, while researching, we found a few tutorials like this one and this one! I advise you to do a mold of the gem and follow the second tutorial, since the first one seems too dangerous and not very effective in doing that type of gem.
> After making two gems you'll have to glue them together (because the wand's gem has, obvious, two sides). But you clearly noticed that it has a pair of wigs between them. To make those wigs you can use a cereal box or a box that has the same kind of material, you'll just have to draw the wings and paint over the colored (if it has) part of the material. Haha, you can even make it more detailed by gluing some fake feathers~. To glue all this, the most effective thing is hot glue.
> Finally, for the little... Thingies.. Around the gem and wigs.. You can use the same material you used to make the wings. You can always try something else, of course, but we couldn't find a way to do those things so we just used the same technique..
Aaah-- I hope it helps? It was also our first cosplay plan so we had to do a looooot of research and ask people who had some technique doing this sort of stuff..
And don't worry, you aren't a bother at all! I'm always happy and glad I can help out people <33
